Terms and Conditions
In booking a Mothership Writers course online, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Bookings
Your booking is only secure when we have full payment via PayPal. You should not consider your booking as definite until you have received email confirmation.
Cancellations
The course fee is payable in full at the time of booking. We have a 7-day cancellation policy for courses; if you are unable to attend your course, please cancel a minimum of 7 days before it is due to begin. If you decide to withdraw from the course after that date, or once it is underway, you won't be entitled to a refund.
Technical requirements
We ask that you install Zoom and have a Zoom account set up and tested before the course begins.
Transfers
Should you book on one Mothership course and then wish to transfer to another within the same season (for instance Summer Mondays to Summer Tuesdays), this will only be possible if the other course still has places still available. If the other course is fully booked then a transfer will not be possible. Transfers to courses in different seasons (for instance Summer to Autumn) are not possible. Conduct
Mothership workshops are supportive and friendly places that are reliant on the understanding of all participants and the tutor. We therefore ask that you are thoughtful and respectful of the group, and help foster the right environment: positive encouragement and great writing community.
Mothership Writers reserves the right to refuse a place and/or to exclude from the course any writer who, in the opinion of the tutor, behaves in an abusive or disruptive manner or engages in any discriminatory conduct. No refund will be given if exclusion is made for these reasons.
Privacy and data
By booking, you agree that we may collect and store personal information about you and your interactions with Mothership Writers. This includes: your personal contact details; the age of your child; details of your booking and booking history, records of payments (not including credit/debit cards numbers, etc.); any correspondence and any other information we need to keep in order to administer your booking. All personal information is kept securely on electronic systems. We do not store payment card details. We will use this information to communicate with you about your booking and we will, unless you tell us otherwise, include you on the list for the Mothership Writers fortnightly newsletter. We never share or sell information about our course participants with any third party, either in aggregate or in individual form.

Terms & Conditions for book giveaway
The promoter is Mothership Writers.
The competition is open only to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating her/his agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter is via Instagram and Twitter.
Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
Only entries from the UK, please. Prizes will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd Class.
Closing date for entry will be midnight Sunday 23rd October 2022. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The prize is a copy of the Mothership Notebook. There are x 2 copies available for Twitter entries and x 2 available for Instagram entries.
The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
Winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Promoter and or its agents.
The winner will be notified by DM within 5 days of the closing date and the winner will need to confirm their home address so that the prize can be posted. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
The winner’s name will be available 28 days after closing date by emailing the following address: mothershipwriters@gmail.com
Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
